Breathe

Breathe is a mobile phone application that is used to send meditation bells to users in the network.

When someone blows into the microphone of their phone the app sends a notification to another person in the network and also sends a text message to an installation in a gallery.

The gallery installation is made of 54 mobile phones laid out to spell the word breathe.

The installation becomes an audio visual representation of the people in the network reminding each other to be mindful of their phones.

The concept of Breathe was derived from Thich Nhat Hanh's belief that we can turn anything in our lives into bells that remind us to be mindful.
